The Deferred
Presentment Database is going live on February 26, 2002
and all open transactions, as of that date and
originated on or after October 1, 2001, must be
registered on the Database prior to midnight of that
date.
ALL Deferred
Presentment Providers (DPPs), as defined by Section
560.402, operating in the State of Florida must observe
the Florida Department of Banking and Finance
(“Department”) rules 3C-560.902-912. These rules
include guidelines for loading required information into
the Database for all open deferred presentment
transactions.
NOTE: The
process for loading initial data is designed to
recognize the fact that some historical transactions may
not comply with the rules effective October 1, 2001.
The initial data upload process will allow you to
register these transactions on the database.
Your options
for loading required information as outlined in the DBF
rules are:
1. Manually
enter customer and transaction data for all existing
open transactions via the website. The
website will is available as of February 20, 2002 with
an option for “DPP Data Upload”. Your DPP Administrator
will be will be allowed access to this feature on the
site until February 26, 2002.
2. Provide
Veritec with an electronic file in a format defined in
the DPP Data Upload Instructions document. The data can
be provided via standard floppy disc, CD ROM, via
transmission to an FTP site established for this
purpose, or can be attached to an email and sent to
.
It is recommended that any email attachment be sent in a
secured manner (e.g. a password protected file)
NOTE: Since the
time for advising Veritec of intent to submit an
electronic file for upload has passed, any such files
submitted after February 20, 2002 may not be loaded in
time to register transactions on the database in time to
meet the February 26, 2002 deadline. Therefore, if a DPP
has not already scheduled this upload with Veritec, you
are advised to load your transactions via the website.
Your Certified Administrators can contact Veritec, once
they have completed training and certification, to
obtain their ID and password for the website.
Veritec will
automatically load your data to the Database and send
back a listing of rejected records from the load
process. NOTE: DPPs are responsible for providing
accurate data in the specified format. Veritec is not
responsible for loading of data that does not meet
specified requirements. Records that are rejected can
be corrected and re-submitted if desired.
